Zen Order of Switzerland

The Insopor Zen Academy in Switzerland preserves and continues the tradition of monasticism. The Zen Order are the monks and nuns in the order who live according to the rules of the order.

Insopor Zen Academy - Zen Order

Under the name "Insopor Zen Academy" there is a non-profit association within the meaning of Art. 60 ff. ZGB with headquarters in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. It is politically and denominationally independent and was founded in 2014 by Abbot Reding (臨済正宗 西瑞軒 磨山道庵). The purpose of the association is “to promote the knowledge of absolute reality”. It pursues this overarching goal primarily through:

  • The attainment of pure and harmonious enlightenment as transmitted through clear Zen lineage by the saints and sages of this world.
  • Sharing true empathy with all people.
  • The redemption of all living beings from the suffering of life and death.
  • Teaching meditative ways of life.
  • The creation of places of emptiness and contemplation.

Membership - Zen Order

Members are natural persons who have only been ordained as a Zen nun or Zen monk by a member of the Insopor Zen Academy and who have completed the monastic training.

 

Rules of the Order

The behavior and rules for the coexistence of monks and nuns are determined in the Zen order rules.

 

Hierarchy

The order of Zen is hierarchical.

 

Profess (Vow) - Vita Consecrata

The religious are bound by the profess (vows) to the rules of the order and lead a spiritual and community life, mostly in the Zen monastery. A religious form of consecrated life.

 

Hermits

Hermits lead a life of seclusion as individuals. They form a complementary part of the religious community.
